Gene's Muffler and Auto Service began in 1976 as a radiator repair service to supplement the teaching salary of Gene Noble (who taught Industrial Arts classes at Douglas County High School). The work was done in the family garage!

Beginning in 1984, the business was moved to rented space on Caprice Street in Castle Rock and their son, Craig, began working with the family. The following year, the building at 215 Malibu was built and business expanded to include automotive repair.

When Gene retired from Douglas County School District, his part time involvement with the business expanded to full time for a few years. When a partnership with Craig was created, Craig changed from Service Manager to owner/operator.

The family's intent has always been to provide quality workmanship and fair prices, both to create new customers and to continue relationships with repeat customers.

The goal of maintaining a credible presence in the independent sector of Castle Rock companies has not changed since 1976. The children of Eugene and Pat Noble attended and graduated from Douglas County Schools; they and Craig live in Castle Rock. The couple has a combined total of 65 years of service to Douglas County Schools. Two daughters and their families also live near. The commitment to this community has and will not change.
