The Douglas-Elbert County Horse Council (DECHC) and the Douglas County Animal Response Team (CART) are pleased to present an Emergency Preparedness Clinic for your horse and your property on Saturday, May 12 at the  Douglas County Fairgrounds in Kirk Hall, 500 Fairgrounds Dr., Castle Rock,  from 9:00 a.m.  till approximately 12:00 Noon.

On Labor Day, twelve volunteer members of the Douglas County Search and Rescue Team went above and beyond their normal duties to rescue two emaciated dogs observed on Skeleton Trail off of Rampart Range Road in the Pike National Forest.
