Several inches of snow have fallen in Castle Rock since Sunday, closing Douglas County schools Monday due to “hazardous driving and walking conditions.”

Roads in Castle Rock are icy and snow-packed in spots. However, the Town’s emergency services haven’t received any reports of accidents .

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) once again wants to be your designated driver by offering free rides on all bus and train service, as well as access-a-Ride and skyRide service on New Year’s Eve, Friday, December 31, 2010 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Saturday, January 1, 2011.

Survey: Metro Denver gasoline the cheapest in the nation

DENVER -- Denver drivers are getting a break at the gas pump. Right now the cheapest gas in the nation is in the Mile High City at an average of $2.68 a gallon.

That's according to the Lundberg Survey, which looks at gasoline prices nationwide.

The average price of gas in the U.S was $2.99 a gallon Monday. Drivers in San Francisco are paying the highest prices in the country at a whopping $3.29 per gallon.
